Meet Our Committee Members

  • Will Davies

    CO-FOUNDER

Hi there my name is Will and I have a day job and a gay job!

My day job is Director of hotel and hospitality recruitment business HBD Partners but my gay job is as one of  the Co-Founders of Checking-IN, the LGBTQ+ Hospitality Network.

We initially launched Checking-IN as a network to champion LGBTQ+ people in hospitality and to advance diversity and inclusion in what was a very complacent industry.

Since launching in 2018 we’ve seen the implementation of new LGBTQ+ specific policies such as shared parental leave, adoption of pronouns, policies safeguarding trans people at work and improved equity for the community within hospitality.

We continue to shine a light on LGBTQ+ people in hospitality and encourage role models in the sector through our 10 LGBTQ+ Hospitality Champions List and regular talks and networking events throughout the year.

  • Frankie Kelsall

I’ve been passionate about hospitality since my first job as a teenager serving Sunday roasts at a hotel on the Isle of Man. Fast forward to today, and I’ve worked with IHG Hotels & Resorts in Malta and London, where I discovered my passion for HR, Talent, and DE&I. I’ve been part of the Checking-IN committee since August 2022, where I feel privileged to be part of a group whose mission is to help drive inclusion across the industry.

I’m especially passionate about making hospitality a leader in inclusion for both customers and colleagues, with a particular focus on gender inclusion policies and practices. It’s all about creating spaces where everyone can thrive, and I’m excited to be part of that change!

  • Alasdair Moore

I’ve worked in hospitality for nearly 20 years – from silver service dinners, to dancing the macarena on bar tops (… and serving the odd drink) across Central London party venues, to delivering experiential event programmes at exclusive members clubs – I’ve love the diversity of roles and people within hospitality.

I co-founded an events agency – The Intrepid Collective – in 2020 and am passionate about telling stories through inclusive live experiences and cultural programming, and helping connect people to places.

Away from work, I play rugby for the 1st XV of Kings Cross Steelers – the world’s first gay and inclusive rugby club and have represented the club at tournaments around the world.
